Woodworking plans, fitted to real shops

Hewn.

Hewn is building a library of human making — craft knowledge from working woodworkers, written down so it doesn't disappear with the people who carry it.

Here, that library has one job: adapting real furniture plans to the shop you actually have — your tools, your materials, your skill.

And where the knowledge runs out, Hewn says so instead of guessing — the gaps are shown, not painted over.

What it doesn't do yet

Handing Hewn your own plan. The upload exists, but the real parsing isn't wired up — and the screen says so plainly wherever it applies. Today's plans are a small set authored in-house to prove the machinery, and they're labeled as exactly that.
