You can use hewn.build without signing in, and we keep nothing about you. Pick a shop from the shelf, adapt a plan, print it. No account is needed for that.
If you sign in with an invite code, we keep three things: the name you give us, the shops you describe, and a sign-in cookie so you stay signed in on that device. No email, no password, no analytics, no trackers. Codes come from Jonathan; there is no sign-up page.
Your shops are yours. You can change or delete them any time. (Delete lands in a later step; we say "soon" honestly until it does.)
What you type stays working, not stored as you. When you ask for a plan, your request goes to our server and — to build the plan — to the AI services we run on (Anthropic's Claude, and Voyage AI for searching our craft library). That's the machinery doing the job you asked it to do. Signed in or not, we keep no profile of you beyond the shops you chose to describe.
What we keep, exactly:
What we will never do: sell your information, trade it, or build an advertising profile from it. If a feature would only work by exploiting the person using it, we don't build the feature.
The honest edge: the AI services we run on handle your plan request under their own terms (Anthropic's and Voyage's, linked from their sites). We built the shop side, not the AI side, and we won't make promises on their behalf. What we built, we answer for — and everything above is checkable in the code.
