Your hands, your shop, your responsibility. hewn.build adapts woodworking plans to the tools you actually have. It cannot see your shop, your material, or your blade. Before any cut: your machine's manual outranks anything this site says. If a plan step and your manufacturer's instructions disagree, the manual wins, every time. Power tools can take fingers; nothing on this site changes who is holding the wood.
What this actually is. Plans here are adapted by AI, working from real published plans and a library of craft knowledge we maintain. Where a step leans on that library you'll see a citation. Where the system doesn't know something, it says so instead of guessing — the gaps are shown, not painted over. That honesty is the product; hold us to it.
It's early, and we say so. This is a working product in its testing phase. Plans are provided as-is, with no warranty. Check dimensions before you cut — measure twice here too.
The plans. The starting plans come from generous people who published them free for personal use, and they're credited on the plan. Use what you build however you like; don't redistribute the plan files themselves.
Your feedback. If you report what happened at your bench, you're giving us permission to use that report to improve the system. It carries no name and we couldn't attach one if we wanted to.
Changes. If these terms change, the change and its date appear right here on this page.
